I know it is a good title, thanks.
Been 2 years since Mary Alice Young put the triger, the finale of the fourth season still hooked and the drama came to prove that writers still can draw some fucking bravos from the audience even like me, after the long fucking run of writers guild strike - good break though, for both writers and audiences used to be a coach/laptop potato - money seems still keeps inspirations going.
Non-exceptionally, all plots and pieces of threads finally come together to form a whole one piece with, again, unexpected and surprising ways, which indicates the won of editors over IQ competition with mass audiences. It happend all the time as previous 3 seasons, but is still, working quite efficiently - after relatively fragmentary parts of prior-finale and it always reaches climax as it comes to finales. It has turned out to be the core competency for lots of TV dramas - unexpected and surprised season finales. In another hand, drama is supposed to be dramatic aye?
Rationally speaking it is just a commercial play, but why is this so-called comedy-drama attracts so many tears off me? Apart from being Emo, it is part of my natural of sensing the touching moment by certain scenes and scripts, and yeah, writers teach me a good lesson on how to express the feelings of love and passion and etc, to someone you have a crush on at least. When then plotline is somewhat predictably dramatic, those quotes still are able to incur the weeps from me.
Touching scenes those I can recall now include Rick's death, Lynette's captive and now, Tom's self statement.
Maybe it is enhanced by recent changes I have been through that caused me even much more emotional and sensitive, sometimes can be catalogged as sentimental, fuck it. However, I don't believe any person would not give a thumb up after hearing what Tom said in the scene of facing off two gay couples at nearly end of the season finale episode, here is the quote from what Tom said:
"If you're willing to break up over an ice sculpture, You guys should absolutely not get married. Because who gets to choose the ice sculpture, who should take out the trash, who has to stay home and make the mini pizzas - That's the little stuff - What are you gonna do when the big stuff comes along? What are you gonna do when a tornado hits your house, or you have problems with your kids, or one of you gets cancer? At some point, the crap is going to hit the fan, and that is why now, before you make the commitment, You have to ask yourself, 'Is that person in bed next to you worth the trouble?' Do you love him... Or her so much, that no disease,no disaster, could possibly pull you apart? Answer him."
And by the exact moment of hearing what Tom said, it brought my tears down accurately as a spring. I realise in line with this sentence and in this world, there is one and only girl so far I know, that can be like that way, and sorry she is not from China.
I also realise this english-written article will freak some potential readers' ass off and incur less numbers of readings, but just be it, I'd rather write in any languages I can handel with and be emotional with, so, just be it.
I wish all of stop-by readers of this article, can share some of my feelings and pardon me for being so over-saying in terms of emotion. That is what I want from writing this, thanks for reading.
